Under the tree, you feel home.
This page contains images that we see everyday yet somehow we tend to ignore their existence.
These are some great inspirations for the comics...

"Nothing matters anymore after 1000 years..."
"and to our surprize, 1000 years isn't really a long time,
"when you human beings going to learn this?"

How do I begin with artistic presentation of Johnny the Moron?... I believe strips back in 1999 are actually more daring and they challenged the boundary of conventional comic strips because I had no what-so-ever experience then. I just drew what was in my mind and I tried out many different presenting patterns. Among them I think are: big closed-ups of facial expressions, weird 3-D angles, lots of background-darkening feels...

Leaves falling from trees: they go when the right time has come...

Babies cry when they come to this world: They foresee this is a sad and torturous world...

Cells destroyed and born every second, just like we human beings...

"Talking about writing what I do here... hmm...it's hard you know... working with John is like working with Johnny the Moron... you know, it's a tough job.  You don't know what he's thinking about and you never know what his next step is.  Anyway, being a Marketing Representative for his site, it's a challenge  cos' I have to convince others that John is not a moron, but a genius, what's more, you have to let John feel that you've done a lot but in fact, I've been busy with my own things... hey John, know you won't mind lah.  With your super comics, marketing is just an easy task.  Just like those alternative award-winning films, you don't have to promote them, there are always people who love to see them right?  :) "

Animals: Who are they? They are dogs, cats, cows, bats, frogs, birds, wolves and etc.. Why are there so many animals? As required by the stories of each strips.

"Some are happily chained. Some are dying to break free.
For those who aren't confined, do something about it."
Yap! Johnny's caps! He used to have many many caps. But due to frequent moving, he's left with only two now. Good things come rare.

Why do we wear caps?
According to the studies of symbols, hats and caps signal one wants to discard his 'present' personal identity. They also mean 'failure' and 'growth'.

You've no need to light a night-light
On a light night like tonight,
For a night-light's a slight light,
And tonight's a night that's light.

When a night's light, like tonight's light.
It's really not quite right
To light night-lights with their slight lights
On a light night like tonight...

"You may go. But what you have said and done is to remain here forever..."
From the other side of my place, I see God...
I like   trees.

So much so that I could rest under one for many hours feeling eternity. I use trees a lot in my strips 'cause it's the easiest way to bring out the presence of nature around us. Since Johnny has not many friends; he could only turn to trees for company.

This is what I see everyday... my good friends - trees. They're most of the time quiet. When I have problems I talk to them; they're excellent listeners.

I admire many of their characteristics: They never think of commiting suicide, never argue with you. They provide shades to good guys and bad guys as well which means they do now discriminate. And they never ask for anything in return...

But I heard that this piece of small forest is gonna to be utilized for housing project soon... I can feel them crying inside...

Bamboo...
that reminds me of the Chinese Panda.
But I don't see any Panda here.
Too bad.

By the way,
Is Bamboo one type of tree?
Someone? Or...
does it matter?

Flowers are used chiefly for topics such as love and relationship. Hey, are there really that many flowers in the strips?
